Can you say "hangover"? Actually, it wasn't as bad as I deserved. Here are a few pictures from Saturday.

Jennifer jumping Rupert in the 1.50 M class on Saturday. Rupert was in a
fine mood this morning, after the parade and award presentation the night
before. He let us know it, too: 21 faults. He can do better than that, but no one was really upset. Rupert's day will come. |

Here are Rupert's and Cassandra's stalls in the FEI barn. I'm always
struck by how little bunting there is in the Grand Prix stabling. No colored
tents, no grass, no pathways, and certainly no fountains. The two blue ribbons are from the Nations Cup, and the 8th place ribbon is Rupert's from a Thursday 1.45 M class. |

That night there was a jungle-themed party in the CN tent by the
International Ring. It was quite a production and very fun.
Here Eddie Macken and Conor Swail are plotting future strategy no doubt. |

Behind the greenery it's Pedro, the in-gate maestro from Spruce Meadows, who also did the honors for the Nations Cup and the Grand Prix in Wellington. With him is Olivia Cox-Fill, Jennifer's mother. |

Kathi Ballentine in the center, Eddie Macken's SO. Diane Babington is in the pink top. I really wish I had a better picture, camera operator error, I'm afraid (I was afraid to get too close to the dance floor). |

Mike Crooks confronting the local wildlife. This performer on stilts had an incredible feel for making the puppet seem lifelike. |
