By Monday, everyone of our crew had left except for Emily and me. We had a chance to do a little sight seeing.

Emily hacked Rupert and spotted this alligator. One reason to keep your horse in the ring...
Emily and I visited the Lion Country Safari, only about 10 minutes away from the show grounds. Not to be missed!
Lots of different kinds of African wildlife, right next to your car.
There is a new giraffe feeding area.
Back at the FEI tent at the show to feed. I thought this sign at the gate was funny. You don't see the word "sacrosanct" used often.
Just hours after the Grand Prix and the FEI tent is a ghost town. There are only a handful of horses left.
This photograph brings up the story of the Antares saddle.

On Sunday afternoon, Emily went to the Antares dealer and paid him for a used saddle she had been trying. She walked back to the barn - and the saddle was gone, stolen.

The next day these boots showed up, left with our equipment as if to make us feel better about the lost saddle.

On Tuesday, the Antares dealer called. Someone had approached him with a saddle and the question "How much do you think I could get for this?" We're not sure exactly what happened next, but the result is that Emily's saddle is now being shipped to her at home.

Some people are just total morons.

If anyone knows the rightful owner of these boots, I'd be happy to ship them back, too.

UPDATE: The Antares dealer is now back-peddling. The person with the saddle was apparently a BNT's groom, who had mistakenly picked up the saddle. Yea, right. I might also have a lead on the boots.

Emily redressed Cassandra's heel. It's difficult to tell from this picture but there are a few stitches. She's doing fine.
The show had someone come by on the off days to check on the horses through the night. I thought that was a nice touch.
